Attendance, Patrol & Identity Recognition
The board and the software are written by one team, so when something breaks there is only one party to ask.

The problem it solves
Attendance and patrol systems rarely fail in the software. What fails is the seam between hardware and software from two different vendors, and when it does, each points at the other. We write the board firmware and the application ourselves, so the protocol and the failure handling are designed together.
System flow
- 01
Enrolment
Faces or identity cards are enrolled
- 02
Installation
Devices are installed at attendance or patrol points
- 03
Detection
The device reads a face, a QR code, or a BLE signal
- 04
Transmission
Data is sent to the server over local network or internet
- 05
Validation
The server matches identity and sanity-checks the timing
- 06
Recording
Attendance or the patrol point is recorded with its timestamp
- 07
Monitoring
Officers appear on the map and route logs are stored
- 08
Reporting
Attendance and patrol compliance summaries are issued
Modules
Modules are grouped the way the system actually works, each with its function spelled out.
Attendance4 modules
- Face Recognition Attendance
- Contactless attendance using an ESP32-CAM
- Face Enrolment
- Enrols face data as the matching reference
- Attendance History
- Attendance records per person and per period
- Person Records
- Master records for employees, students, or others
Security Patrol7 modules
- Patrol Points
- Required checkpoints and their schedules
- QR Scanning
- Proof the officer reached the checkpoint
- BLE Tracking
- Proximity detection without manual scanning
- Location Map
- Officer positions and checkpoints on a map
- Route Logs
- Patrol route records as compliance evidence
- Building Data
- Floor plans and supervision zones
- Officer Records
- Officer profiles and shift scheduling
Devices6 modules
- Main Board Firmware
- The core program driving the field device
- Face Camera
- Camera module and image transport to the server
- RFID Reader
- Tag reading to identify objects or people
- Relay & MQTT Module
- Remote control of electrical devices over MQTT
- Device Identity
- Unique numbering so the server knows each unit
- WiFi Management
- Automatic network connection and recovery
Technology, in plain words
- ESP32-CAM
- A small electronics board with a camera, used in smart devices
- Python
- A programming language for data work and automated tasks
- Flutter
- Builds the Android and iOS apps from one codebase
- BLE
- Low-power Bluetooth for devices that stay on for days
- MQTT
- How devices report to the server continuously using tiny messages
